Hamburger Soup

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef

1 cup each chopped onion and celery

1 can undiluted consomme soup

1 can chopped tomatoes

4 cups water

2 diced carrots 

2 diced potatoes

1/3 cup pot barley (use preferred brand)

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

1/2 tsp. paprika

Directions:

Brown ground beef in a large soup pot or Dutch oven. Add celery, onion and saute over medium-low

heat until soft. Drain off excess fat. Add all remaining ingredients, then cover and simmer for 90 minutes,

or until the barley is tender. Makes 6 to 8 hot servings, and as always, enjoy the world of food.
